Overview of Gyeongsangnam-do, Republic of Korea

Against the backdrop of many Korean residents in Hyogo Prefecture being from Gyeongsangnam-do, the two regions concluded an "Agreement on Friendship Exchange" on February 6, 2012. In addition to mutual visits by both prefectural delegations, the two regions conducted exchanges through HUMAP (Hyogo University Mobility in Asia and the Paci­fic) and exchanges of junior high school and senior high school students. In addition, Hyogo has set up the "Hyogo International Tourism Desk" in Gyeongsangnam-do to promote and engage in tourism exchanges as well as pottery exchanges.
