Overview of Jiangsu Province, People’s Republic of China

On August 28, 2006, Hyogo concluded an “Agreement on Exchange and Cooperation” with Jiangsu, which has played a central role for the "Shanghai-Yangtze Trade Promotion Project" to promote exchange between the Shanghai and Yangtze River Delta Economic Region and the Hanshin Economic zone.
The shipyard developed by Kawasaki Heavy Industries in Nantong City is one of the largest shipbuilding yards in China.
